Built to Last: The Human Work Behind a Living Journey in the Age of Automation

What we build keeps evolving, growing more connected and more complex. But what keeps the journey behind it current? There is a gap between a capability existing in the platform and it actually working inside your organisation.

Someone still has to set it up, judge whether what surfaces is signal or noise, and decide what the business does with it. The tools did not remove the human owner. They relocated the job.

The journeys that stay alive have four things: a findable home, a working update trigger, a named owner, and a live decision they feed. The ones that quietly fade are always missing at least one.

This is a hands-on working session, not a talk. Bring a journey you know well, a few touchpoints is enough and no finished map required. You will sketch it across frontstage and backstage, then diagnose it against the four conditions, marking where it holds and where it breaks. From there you will work out what would keep it alive: what feeds it, who looks at it, and which decision it serves. You will finish by designing one input loop you could genuinely start next.
