Marc Fonteijn
Founder at Service Design Show and MC at Beyond the Map
Marc is a recognized expert and pioneer in the field of service design. He co-founded the first service design studio in the Netherlands and has worked with leading national and international brands. For the last decade, Marc has hosted the Service Design Show, a highly respected podcast featuring over 250 interviews with industry icons, legends, and pioneers. In 2008, he wrote "The Coffee Shop story," a classic explanation of service design that is still widely used today and has earned him the title of "grandfather of service design" by some. Marc is a devoted father of two, holds a degree in software engineering, and enjoys solving Rubik's cubes in three minutes or less (on a good day).
